3D Printing Business Website Demo: Maine 3D Prints
A Custom Website Concept for Makers & Small Product Businesses
Maine 3D Prints is a concept website I created to demonstrate how a small product-based business can establish a professional online presence. I designed the project around a fictional Maine 3D printing business, giving me the freedom to build the site around the needs of makers, custom-product businesses, and entrepreneurs who need a strong way to showcase what they create.
Rather than simply creating a visual mockup, I built a functional website concept that demonstrates how products, services, quote requests, contact information, and future ecommerce capabilities could work together as a complete small-business website.
The Goal
The goal of this project was to demonstrate what I could build for a small business that creates and sells physical products. A maker may have excellent products but still need a professional way to display their work, explain custom-order options, answer common questions, and turn interested visitors into potential customers.
I also wanted the site to be capable of growing with the business. The initial website could focus on showcasing products and generating inquiries, while its structure leaves room for features such as online ordering and ecommerce as the business grows.
The Solution
I designed Maine 3D Prints as a complete small-business website concept rather than simply a portfolio mockup. The site gives a product-based business room to showcase its work while also explaining its services and giving potential customers a clear way to request information or a custom quote.
The design puts the products at the center of the experience while keeping the site easy to navigate on desktop and mobile devices. I also structured the website with future growth in mind, allowing a business to begin with product showcases and customer inquiries before expanding into full ecommerce when the time is right.
